HIROSHIMA, Japan — It’s a kind of coming-of-age moment when an automotive brand begins publishing its own magazine. That step is a given with upscale brands like Audi and BMW, but now Mazda is joining the pack with the rollout of Zoom-Zoom, which will be published three times a year.

The inaugural U.S. edition issue has features on the 40th anniversary of the rotary engine and racing at Laguna Seca. “The magazine covers a wide range of topics to bring the spirit of the Mazda brand closer to readers, with some content on Mazda products and news along with stories about Mazda’s people,” the company said in a statement.

The publication is produced in five languages and will be distributed to eight countries through the end of October.

What this means to you: A nice collector’s item for Mazda fans — or at least some good reading material while you’re getting your Mazda RX-8 serviced.
